Sam1.0: I made the stupid mistake of using duct tape on my window to hold up the air con hose. Anyway long story short the glue made six 20 cm x 20 cm marks on the window that wouldn’t come off. I bought this thinking that it would be ideal. After all the description reads as if this is exactly what it’s made for. I thought it wasn’t cheap but worth it if it gets it off easily.Anyway it was totally useless. I tried leaving it on for an hour overnight nothing. It didn’t cause one single bit to budge and that wasn’t through lack of trying. I was dripping in sweat from scrubbing. I’ve gone through nearly the whole bottle from trying. What a waste of money.I ended up getting it off with some barkeepers friend that was a quarter of the price. I wasn’t easy even with that but slowly it did come off. I’d recommend just some good cream cleaner over this product.
Mr. M. Innes5.0: I decided to renew my bathroom flooring with Karndean.Suffice to say I made a right mess but decided to soldier on – in the event of a fail I was prepared to pay the professionals.I got more of the flooring adhesive on the top surface than on the floor itself.The following morning the floor was laid but there was glue all over the place. I picked up and peeled up as much as possible.Then on hands and knees with a washing up sponge – and liberal doses of Goo Gone. I soaked the sponge and gently wiped and dabbed the glue areas and left for a couple of minutes. Then scrubbed with the sponge and wiping the cleaned area with soapy water.It worked a treat – this stuff made short work of glue removal.Pretty chuffed – and loads of it left – but will not be used on a relaid floor again – I will not be laying flooring ever.
Kronk4.0: I’m using this to remove old adhesive tape residue from our white UPVC window frames. I covered them with cardboard last summer to keep the heat down and I made the mistake of using some parcel tape and cheap cloth tape which both left lot’s of sticky adhesive patches. This makes short work of these messy patches. Another product I use for this is Holts clutch and brake cleaner in 600ml spray cans. It’s as good as Goo Gone at getting rid of any sticky patches and at less than £3 per can it’s a veritable bargain. I’d forgotten I had the Holts in the garage otherwise I wouldn’t have bought the Goo Gone but as I said it does do the job well.
Melvoid5.0: I bought this to remove old messy stickers mostly from Video games and CD’s which I have to say it does most effectively.Anyone who collects or loves a bargain will know the pain of getting said bargain home and trying to remove those damn barcode stickers they love to plaster all over the items (Game stores I’m looking at you there is a special place in hell reserved for you) from the plastic surfaces of CD’s and game boxes I was expecting good results based on recommendations from various American you-tubers I had watched who swear by this stuff.What I was most pleased with was getting one of those damn barcode stickers off of the front of a games manual you know when they slap it right in the middle of the cover meaning you will either have to leave it there obscuring the art or risk picking at it for ages hoping that it does not tear the picture off the cover.Well I had an offending item (Brutal Legend PS3 game) which had said sticker dead center of the cover.Applying the Goo gone to a microfibre cloth and dabbing and rubbing gently I was able to completely remove the offending item with no damage at all to the picture and no tears (or tears cry cry).So yes that a big ol recommendation from me and it does smell nice very lemony.
Amazon Customer5.0: Bought this to remove the remenants of Blu tack that my Son had used all over his bedroom walls and doors. It had been on the walls for years. I had tried scrapping it off previously with no luck. This stuff was amazing at removing it. It made the job so easy. I just put some Goo Gone on a cloth went over the blu tack that was stuck solid and hard to the wall let it soak in for 5 mins and rubbed it off.
